Before you book
What people ask us
Grouped by what you're actually here for: the bar, the tours, the bottles.
What are your hours?
The cocktail bar is open Wednesday through Sunday, 3pm to 11pm. Distillery tours run Saturday and Sunday at 1pm and 3pm. We're closed Monday and Tuesday.
Do I need a reservation for the cocktail bar?
Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend booking a table ahead on busy weekend evenings so we can seat you without a wait.
How much does the distillery tour cost?
The distillery tour and tasting is $25 per person. It's a walk through our production floor ending at the copper pot still, followed by a guided tasting.
When are the distillery tours held?
Tours run weekends only, Saturday and Sunday, with two sessions each day at 1pm and 3pm. No tours are offered on weekdays.
What's included in the tour and tasting?
You'll see the full distilling process from mash to bottle, finishing at our copper pot still, then sit down for a guided tasting of our gin and whiskey.
What is a tasting flight and how much is it?
Our gin flight is $18 and lines up several expressions side by side so you can taste the difference the botanicals make, glass by glass.
Can I buy bottles to take home?
Yes. Our bottle shop stocks the same gin and whiskey poured at the bar and tasted on tour, distilled on site in our copper pot still.
Do you host private events?
We do. The space is available for private events among the stills and barrels. Get in touch with your date and group size and we'll work out the details.
Where is The Copper Still located?
We're on SE Water Avenue in Portland's Central Eastside, inside the working distillery where every bottle is made.
Is the gin and whiskey actually made on site?
Yes, every batch is distilled on site in our copper pot still. Our gin took double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2024.
